Two creators, one journey

United through life and art, we explore form, matter, and emotion through touch. Our works emerge from the same inner impulse — the need to shape emotion into form and silence into movement. Each sculpture builds a bridge between the heritage of the past and the spirit of the contemporary moment, creating space for an ongoing dialogue. Together, we explore an inexhaustible inspiration — the human figure. Through sculpting techniques, we shape what is timeless: the inner strength, beauty, and vulnerability of a human being. Art has always been a way to stop time and let matter speak. Art becomes a space of permanence, a window into eternity. Our works reflect a meeting point: strength and tenderness, tradition and modernity, as well as the unveiling of a person in their hidden inner horizons and unspoken thoughts...

Sculpture and Interior

Through its form, texture, and energy, each sculpture introduces rhythm and character into the interior, transforming it into a space with a story. A sculpture changes the atmosphere of a room, making it an authentic expression of aesthetic and personal sensibility — though the final impression is ultimately shaped by the viewer’s eye.
Whether the interior is modern, classical, or eclectic, a sculpture can become the central element that ties the entire space together. Its presence adds depth and layers, making the space not only visually appealing but also emotionally engaging. A sculpture in the interior is not merely decoration; it is an expression of artistic vision that enriches everyday life and encourages contemplation.

Creation Process

From Idea to Sculpture

Idea and sketch – The artist develops the concept of the sculpture and creates initial sketches or a clay model.

Modeling – The clay is kneaded and prepared to become even and free of air bubbles, ready for shaping. It is then shaped by hand or with tools, forming the basic shapes and details of the sculpture.

Drying in controlled conditions – The sculpture dries slowly, covered so that it has no direct contact with oxygen, allowing it to maintain even moisture. Gradual drying ensures material stability and prevents cracking during the process.

First (bisque) firing – The dried sculpture is fired in a specialized kiln programmed to precise temperatures and time intervals of heating and holding. This first firing lasts about 12 hours.

Glazing – After the bisque firing, the sculpture is coated with glaze and then goes through the final firing. This is also the final stage in the creation process for most sculptures.

Gilding (if needed) – After the final firing, some sculptures may be additionally gilded to achieve a special visual effect. The gilding is fired at a slightly lower temperature and lasts around 2 hours.

The sculpture exhibition "Heroes of the Modern Age" represents the first solo exhibition of the Renome Arte sculpting atelier created by Sanja and Aleksandar Brzaković. The exhibition was held from October 18 to October 2, 2024, at the Residence of Princess Ljubica in Belgrade, organized by the Belgrade City Museum.

The series of sculptures explores human strength, character, and inner struggle through expressive busts of male and female figures. The artists address questions of identity, courage, and morality in the modern world, presenting figures that symbolize pillars of stability and guardians of justice — the heroes of our time.

This exhibition represents a significant step in the artistic career of this promising creative duo, who have specialized in creating ceramic sculptures formed by combining traditional techniques with contemporary expression.
